Are you looking for a rewarding role, partnering with charities who support people, especially those who are disadvantaged, to play a fuller role in our islands’ communities? We’re looking for an individual with a legal professional qualification who is based in Guernsey to join our dynamic Board of Trustees. The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following: • Strong understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of Trusteeship. • An awareness of corporate governance and other standards relating to charities and charitable foundations. • A strong personal interest in and awareness of the activities of the charitable sector, preferably with first-hand knowledge. Trustees serve in a voluntary capacity and are appointed for an initial term of three years and can continue for a maximum of six years. The Board meets four times a year, and Trustees are required to participate in sub-committees, events and charity visits. All necessary travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed.
